John Harden
John Harden, senior consultant, is an experienced senior executive with more than 30 years of accomplishments in identifying opportunities in the market, developing focused business strategies and action plans to capitalize on those opportunities, and assembling and leading teams to their successful implementation.
Today he focuses on helping clients grow their businesses by distinguishing themselves from their competition in ways that are meaningful to prospects and customers; and then effectively communicating those differences in a compelling and believable way. The reward is results that go far beyond what clients felt were possible.
Prior to co-founding Harden, John was chief operating officer for Tunheim Partners, a Minneapolis public relations and communications agency. In this position, he was responsible for increasing profits by more than 200% and preparing the 70-person company for sale to an international firm. John provided creativity in addressing ongoing business challenges by working with managers at all levels of the agency to create greater operating efficiencies, and more tangible value for clients.
Prior to joining Tunheim, John was CEO of a start-up company involved in the development and sales of a new concept in reusable bulk containers. He was responsible for daily operations and long-term strategic direction of the company and wrote and implemented the company’s business plan repositioning the company to target an emerging $3 billion market. John created a development partnership that reduced the cost of the product by 40%, and secured $1 million in engineering and design services during the critical development stage.
Earlier in his career, John was director of consumer marketing for Wells Fargo with responsibility for determining product mix, pricing, positioning and promotional strategy to accomplish the financial objectives of consumer financial products. He was also president of the bank’s flagship consumer bank in downtown Minneapolis, and a business manager for strategic consumer business units.
